The James Webb Space Telescope has completed its rigorous testing regimen at Northrop Grumman, where it successfully demonstrated that it can survive launch conditions and a space environment.
Logistics and engineering teams will soon begin preparations to ship the observatory to its launch site of Kourou, French Guiana in South America.
This marks a major turning point for the mission.
With integration and testing formally concluded for Webb, NASA’s next giant leap into the cosmic unknown will soon be underway.
